In Alaska
by Lydia Adams Davis & Kathy Byers

In Alaska, husky dogs pull sleds o’er snow and ice where we are led, the dogs are strong and furry too, they help…and…hurry you…

In Alaska, it’s sometimes 40 below; our life-long friends are the only way to go
Because the drifts are deep and the sun sleeps half of the year

But in Alaska and points up to the north
Global warming…throws our sleds off course
Our loyal huskies get stranded or struck down
If the ice melts and commence to flood the ground
Where a drought leaves no traction there
To haul along your hurry-up chair
And the route seems to go nowhere but to turn
the climate around (2X)

In Alaska, husky dogs pull sleds… (3X)
