Shy Raccoon
by Lydia Adams Davis

There once was a shy raccoon
Who loved to eat macaroons
He also liked to eat fish
Or any other kind of dish

One night last winter time
He met some friends of mine
While sneakin’ ‘round the neighborhood

At one o’clock in the mornin’
When everyone else was snorin’
We looked down the alley way
And then exclaimed: “Hey!

There’s a raccoon in the garbage
And he is very large!”
Causing chaos and bedlam

At one o’clock in the mornin’
When everyone else was snorin’
We looked down the alley way
And then exclaimed: “Hey!

There’s a raccoon in the garbage
And he is very large!”
Causing chaos and bedlam
Keepin’ us up ‘til four AM!
